Dear Parents/Carers

We would like to invite all parents to a parent consultation. For Years 1 – 6 these will be held in the school hall and for Reception and Nursery the consultation will be in the Foundation Stage Unit.  This is an opportunity to discuss your child’s work so far and the plans for them over the coming year.

For Years 1-6 and Bright Sparks

Monday 12th November (3.30pm – 6.30pm)

Tuesday 13th November (3.30pm - 5.00pm)

Reception

Monday 12th November (3.45pm – 6.30pm)

Tuesday 13th November (3.45pm – 5.00pm)

Nursery

Monday 26th November (3.45pm – 6.30pm)

Tuesday 27th November (3.45pm – 5.45pm)

Wednesday 28th November (3.45pm – 5.00pm)

In previous years notice boards were placed outside each teacher’s classroom/cloakroom for you to sign up for your preferred appointment.  As per last year you will be able to book your appointment time with your child’s teacher via the School Life system.  Appointment slots will be available for you to select on line, there is no paper system in place.

Slots are allocated on a first come first served basis and if appointments are already booked out you will have to select another available time.

The School Life parents evening booking system will be available on Monday 5th November and will close on Thursday 8th November.  You can access this via the ‘Parents Evening’ tab on the School Life app on your phone or by logging into the school’s website.

If you cannot remember your appointment details please go back to the ‘Parents Evening’ tab where it will be displayed.  This will disappear after you have attended the appointment.

Consultations will last up to a maximum of 10 minutes and we shall try to be prompt. If further discussion is needed your child’s teacher will make an additional appointment with you so that other parents are not inconvenienced.

Miss Ruth Nixon, our SENCO, will be available for ‘drop in’ consultations in her office (Miss Nixon’s office can be found in the Nursery classroom) on Monday 12th November (3.30pm – 6.30pm) for parents whose children are on the SEN Register.  You do not need to book an appointment via School Life please just ‘drop in’.  Please remember that if you have concerns about your child and they are not already on the SEN Register then your first point of contact is the class teacher.

For Mrs Thompson’s Bright Sparks groups please also use the School Life parents evening booking system to make an appointment if required.

If you wish to see your child’s work then please arrive in time to look before your consultation begins. This work will be available to see in the shared area of your child’s classroom.  We look forward to seeing you on one of the above dates.

Kind Regards

Maureen Thompson
